Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 9/4/2026
Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs what you may create, upload, and share using NanoPrompts. It applies to every prompt, uploaded image, and generated result. By using the service you agree to this AUP and to our Terms of Service. We may update this AUP as our safety practices evolve.
Prohibited content
You may not use NanoPrompts to create, upload, request, or distribute any of the following. This list is not exhaustive; we may act on any content we reasonably believe is harmful or unlawful.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualization of minors, and any depiction of a real person under 18 in a sexual or suggestive context.
- Adult, sexual, or NSFW content, including nudity and sexually explicit material.
- Violence, gore, or graphic content that depicts or glorifies serious physical harm, cruelty, or the suffering of people or animals.
- Hate speech — content that attacks, dehumanizes, demeans, or incites hatred, harassment, or violence against people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, religion, caste, sexual orientation, sex, gender, gender identity, age, disability, or serious disease; and hateful symbols or praise of hate groups.
- Deepfakes, impersonation, and non-consensual likeness — face-swapping, "undress"/nudify transformations, or any realistic depiction of a real, identifiable person created without their consent, or intended to deceive, defame, or defraud.
- Intellectual-property and trademark infringement — recreating copyrighted characters, brand logos, or trademarks, or otherwise infringing third-party IP.
- Other illegal or harmful use — fraud, scams, phishing, malware, weapons or drug facilitation, self-harm promotion, privacy violations, or any activity that breaks applicable law.
Real people, likeness & consent
You may upload a photograph of a real person only if you are that person, or you own the image and have the explicit, informed consent of the person shown (or their legal guardian, where applicable) to upload it and generate derivative images from it.
You must not upload images of minors, of anyone who has not consented, or images you obtained without permission. You must not create non-consensual intimate imagery or content that impersonates a real person. You are responsible for the rights to every image you upload, and you agree to indemnify us against claims arising from material you provide.
How we moderate content
We use layered safety controls rather than relying on any single check:
- Prompt keyword screening on both the client and the server, applied before a request is accepted.
- A content-safety scan of every prompt through our merchant-of-record Waffo’s content-safety API before it is routed to a generation model. This check is fail-closed: if the scan returns anything other than "allow", or is unavailable, the generation is blocked.
- Post-generation and human review of reported content, and proactive review of high-risk activity.
Reporting abuse
If you find content on NanoPrompts that violates this AUP, or believe your likeness or intellectual property has been misused, email support@nanoprompts.net with the details (a link or description of the content, and — for likeness or IP claims — proof of identity or ownership). We review every report and act on violations. For copyright, include the information needed for a takedown request so we can process it promptly.
Enforcement
When content or behavior violates this AUP we may, at our discretion and depending on severity: block the request, remove the content, issue a warning, limit or suspend features, or suspend or terminate the account — with or without notice. We may preserve and disclose information to law enforcement where required by law or to prevent serious harm. Repeated or severe violations result in permanent termination.
